25 - 29 November 2024

The Vector Atlas welcomed over 40 national partners from across Africa, including representatives from National Malaria Control Programmes (NMCPs), vector researchers and experts, and project partners, to our second Vector Atlas Technical Workshop at Windsor Golf Club, Nairobi.

Through a series of in-depth training sessions and discussions, current challenges in malaria vector control were addressed, which led to in-depth training on the collection and analysis of spatial data and the latest approaches to modelling. The focus was on how and where spatial data, maps, and models can assist in finding solutions.

Capacity building is a key component of the Vector Atlas, and these meetings highlight a clear need within NMCPs and their partners for further training and support in applying and using spatial models to address specific in-country challenges.
