As part of on-going Vector Atlas activities, 2-day workshops were held in July 2024 with national vector control experts in Senegal and Côte d'Ivoire. The aim was to help build in-country capacity in advanced vector modelling and mapping techniques to accelerate decision-making for the effective prevention and elimination of malaria in these countries.
Vector Atlas PI, Dr Marianne Sinka, and Professor Nick Golding, Telethon Kids/Curtin University, participated in the meetings on behalf of the core research team.
These events complement earlier workshops held in Nigeria, Burkina Faso, the DRC and Uganda.
