I am a DPhil student at St Edmond Hall. I am broadly interested in the human-nature interface, and mechanisms for supporting human and ecological needs by protecting natural areas and their functions for both short- and long-term returns.

For my recent masters project I used seagrass (Posidonia oceanica) beds in the Mediterranean to develop a protocol for determining ecosystem service baselines which can be extended to model the future services that marine areas can provide. By comparing the ecosystem services in protected and unprotected areas, the aim of this project was to identify opportunities to enhance ecosystem services provided by this seagrass species via marine protection measures.
