Dr Sandra Nogué

I am interested in using a biogeographic approach to address environmental issues of concern to society. My research is focused on using a range of high-quality palaeoecological records derived from sedimentary sequences to determine how fast, where, and why biodiversity is changing mainly from islands worldwide. In addition, I’m interested in  understanding biodiversity baselines and the relationship between biodiversity and human impacts.  After spending 6 very happy years at the Oxford Long-Term Ecology Laboratory I joined the University of Southampton as a lecturer.
